The newest in shopping trends in China involves virtual sales staff…avatars that can sell products online around the clock.

Virtual hosts are based on real people who are recorded making various gestures.

Simply place the product on a table, and the virtual host does the rest.
For around 2,800 U.S. dollars a year, virtual hosts are a fraction of the price of human live streamers.

Data shows during the annual "618 Shopping Festival" on June 18th, the number of sellers using virtual hosts surged by over 500 percent on JD.com compared to the Singles' Day shopping extravaganza last November.

So who are these presenters going to sell to when us humans have all been put out of work?

with Chinese consumerism not being so degenerate maybe these "influencers" are more thoughtful of the propensity for humans to encourage human life and its beauty and not the degeneration of children and youth as western influencers are now prone too...
