I think Ineos will still use the rim brake version and put weights in the lower parts to meet the weight rule. But doing so will also lower down the centre of gravity a little which would give a little more stability. And Geraint Thomas is currently in great need of some more stability on the bike

2.6 watts saved at 50 km/h - I am about 82kg and on the flat without much wind I need to put out nearly 1000 W to get to 50km/h. Does 2.6 Watt make that much difference?

That bike must cost a fortune but I'm glad finally it has disc brakes with a low weight so you are getting more of your money's worth. I personally love the look of the dogma and it only looks cleaner with disc brakes now with no drawbacks in weight.

Pinarello has been using Toray T1100 1 k carbon fiber at least since my F10, maybe even earlier. Btw, F10 w mech Durac-ace disc brakes weighs 7.7kg with pedals and clinchers.
