I just want to say thank you to all the people from Iowa who were so kind on our visit filming. We met some really wonderful locals and had some really tasty food (not just Casey's Pizza ;) Thank you!

Lived there for 38 years. If your car breaks down on the side of the road be assured someone will soon stop and try to help you out. Very kind people.

Your tornado plan should include a lawn chair and your beverage of choice to watch the action

“Don’t call Iowans a bunch of hicks” All my farming uncles in Iowa have agricultural degrees. Most farmers wind up going to college for a business management or agriculture degree of some sort. Running a farm is complex

You might be in Iowa if your favorite pizza comes from a gas station, and a pizza buffet has the best fried chicken around. :-)

I moved to Iowa almost 19 years ago and I fell in love with the place. You forgot to add that if you visit Iowa during late spring to fall, you gotta check out some of those small town festivals. They are a lot of fun.

I'm originally from Iowa, and completely endorse the awesomeness and beauty of the place. Great old towns, rivers, lakes, and over-all greenery.

1 thing I like about Iowa is the rural farm landscape, it is so green and especially with the gravel roads, the farmland and gravel roads remind me so much of South West Victoria Australia where I grew up and still live. Hello everyone in Iowa.

I’ve grown up in Iowa and it blows my mind that people don’t know how to drive on gravel - and also that gravel roads don’t exist everywhere

You forgot NW Iowa, Lake Okoboji, Spencer has been rated as one of the best small towns in the US, Orange City is almost a twin to Pella. Emmetsburg has Irish heritage, Schleswig and Holstein, German, Sioux City, Yes, Iowa has some older buildings but it has lots of new and modern ones too. Living History Farms in Des Moines shows historical farming life. The Iowa Hall of Pride a computerized history of sports in Iowa schools. SW Iowa the tree in the middle of the road, Atlantic, Council Bluffs, Riverboat Casinos, And lots more to see.

When you said "it's not just corn" I immediately said "it's also soybeans". Great video. If you ever get to Hampton, go to Willie's. Fantastic tenderloin!

As an Iowan, this was a pretty good list, but you forgot about Blue Bunny ice cream in Le Mars!

we have a lot of things to be proud of our state about literally from the time of its conception.

The most underrated tip was to drive on the middle of the road when on gravel or dirt. No one ever taught me that and I had to learn that the hard way when I moved here 🤣

Great video! I've visited several of the places you mentioned in the video during my time in Iowa. I really enjoyed the all the covered bridges, the Amana Colonies, Pella and The Grotto. Here are a few other places that I really enjoyed such as: the Middle River Water Trail at Pammel State Park, George Washington Carver Park in Madison Co, the Sunflower field in Belle Plaine, Twisted Vine Brewery in St Charles, the African American Museum of Iowa and Newbo City Market in Cedar Rapids, American Gothic House Center in Eldon and the Jim Muto Recreation Area, Pappajohn Sculpture Park, Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge, Botanical Garden in Des Moines. Iowa was definitely a great place to visit.

40yr old NH resident. My dad's from Iowa. Completed RAGBRAI 12 times with him, but haven't been back in probably 10 years. I still order Dutch letters from Pella every year and give them as gifts. Thanks for walking me down memory lane.
