4K | How Good is Britain’s National Carrier? Premium Economy B787-9 Dreamliner to Sydney

In this trip report, join us as we fly British Airways World Traveller Plus (BA15), which is the Premium Economy equivalent aboard the B787-9 Dreamliner from Singapore (SIN) to Sydney (SYD). We start at Changi Airport, Terminal 1, where we access the British Airways lounge with our Oneworld status. The lounge, while spacious and offering a variety of options, felt pretty ordinary in quality compared to other premium lounges.

Onboard the 8-year-old Dreamliner, Premium Economy featured a modern cabin but offered a stripped-down experience. The seat had good legroom and a footrest - that was about it. The overall service was indifferent so let alone friendly. We were provided with a pillow, a thin blanket and amenities kit. Don't get me started with the IFE where the screen was dated, and hardly responsive.

A dinner and light snack were served on this flight. Dinner was nicely plated and generous but nothing particularly tasty or must eat. Overall, the experience was functional but nothing outstanding.

Well I have recently had some great PE flights with BA, some airlines don’t give a welcome drink, noise cancelling headsets or meals on ceramic in PE so I actually think it’s a pretty decent product. Some of your complaints I felt were a little unwarranted but that’s just my opinion and I did enjoy the video, one thing nobody can beat is the beautiful Singapore Airport experience !

There's a lot of air in that puff! 😀 IFE definitely has seen better days. I actually think the BA PE seat reclines too much. If the passenger in front reclines, it can get very tight. Super job, NavSky.

Always enjoy a navsky vlog:) Good to see what BA offer on this route....will probably be updated when they refurb club world on the older 787s. Would choose qf prem economy over this. Safe travels!
