These zombies are the most human humans I've seen in a while

i love how the camera man thinks totally different from the reporter, and that he thinks that they are literally humans

I love the line “Are you coming, or what? You’ve got my car keys!” implying that he wouldn’t have come back for his coworker had he had his car keys on him. It just shows how much more humanity Don and Andy have, than the actual unaffected humans.

A story about cured zombies post-outbreak is a really clever idea. I'd love to see more media explore this concept.

I like how the camera man even has some personality even though he doesn't talk or show his face what so ever.

The saddest part is that the news would probably cut out the part where they’re making up at the end and only show the “terrifying meltdown”

I love how open to interpretation there relationship is. They could be lovers, they could be friends, they could even be total strangers who found each other after the outbreak, but they love each other in a way that hurts when the other hurts.
Very cool

Don and Andy show so much real compassion and empathy for eachother. It truly shows that they are truly still human. The reporter did not care that they were, he wanted a good story. Camera man on the other part seems to have a genuine interest in their story. These characters are so beautifully done, i would love to see them fleshed out more, and in a full length film.

I like it when the "zombie" came out for the first time and was trying to talk.

I love how the cameraman is given a voice through his/her choice of focus, even if he/she never says a word. If this were feature length, it would be about the reporter slowly changing his views of the undead.

These zombies have a better relationship than a lot of humans do

The man said he was in the facility for 6 years.
The reporter said the cure was developed 5 years ago.
He was put in the prison for 1 year without the cure.

I’ve loved this short for years but it definitely hits different after COVID. The zombies’ wants and emotions really hit home

It’s horrible to see how even when they’re clearly just as human as everyone else, the man was willing to interpret the tiniest negative thing they do as proof they don’t belong in society, even though he likely wouldn’t have minded if they were humans acting like that. It’s even worse to realise that this prejudice is an actual thing right now in the real world being held against real groups of people.
