1. Iodine is an essential element / mineral found in every cell in your body.

16. Iodine deficiency can cause constipation, depression, low energy, thinning hair, brittle nails, dry skin, mood swings, sensitivity to cold, chest and heart palpitations, respiratory issues, irregular menstrual cycles, weakness, weight gain, goiter and MORE!

Just wanted to say I tried iodine after watching this video and it was life changing. I feel like I went back in time 15 years. I was so lethargic and apathetic I knew there had to be some deficiency of something in my body. turns out there were several. Magnesium helped, iron helped, and zinc helped a little, but iodine helped more and quicker than all of them.

Hello Doctor Scott,

I just found your channel. Thank you very much for your wonderful videos. :))
But I've a question I hardly find any information on. How would you treat RTH, resistance to thyroid hormones?
I assume the need for iodine must be much higher than on average!?

Wow I didnt know Iodine was so beneficial! Its interesting too because I am taking chemo pills for cancer and have recently had two possible life threatening allergic reactions from my CT Scan contrast which is iodine. Doctors couldnt tell me why I could be allergic so I googled it. My understanding is that Im low in iodine so maybe the contrast is overload in my system due to medications and not eating enough foods that have iodine in them such as boiled eggs for instance. I also read that Japanese people eat a lot of seaweed, loaded with salt that cause a lot of hypothyroidism but the people have low cancer rates and more longevity due to iodine. Thank you for posting this video!

I love the ocean in the back ground. What are your thoughts on iodine for people who don't have a thyroid?

Dr Scott, I loved your video, I live in Canada which gets harsh winters, in 2014 I was diagnosed with Ampulary Carcinoma and had Whipple surgery, i had never smoked, had lemon water in the AM, oatmeal for breakfast, occasionally had a glass of wine. Because I was taken by surprise I have been trying to understand what could have been missing. My family is originally from Lisbon, Portugal and are by the ocean and some of my cousins, and nieces have had breast, ovarian, gallbladder cancer they get plenty of sunshine for Vit D, and eat plenty of fish. I feel baffled 😕😕🌺 thank you
