शरद पवार ने मुंबई के यशवंतराव प्रतिष्ठान में एक कार्यक्रम में एनसीपी अध्यक्ष पद से अपनी सेवानिवृत्ति की घोषणा की। इसके बाद महाराष्ट्र के राजनीतिक हलकों में गहमागहमी मच गई है। एनसीपी में इस्तीफों को झड़ी लग गई है। एक के बाद एक कई पदाधिकारियों ने इस्तीफे दे दिए हैं। वहीं पूर्व मंत्री जितेंद्र आव्हाड ने भी एनसीपी से अपना इस्तीफा दे दिया है।
