Thailand has taken its first steps toward a circular economy. However, most of current activities focus just around waste management. To efficiently adapt to the environmentally changed world, and make a contribution to the global situation, further progress is needed.

Thailand needs to have a comprehensive national policy that is not just steering the country toward the full cycle of a circular economy, but such policy must be able to answer to questions of economic growth, inequality, and a just transition as well.
