Ok this looks seriously amazing. Everytime when I go to Greece, I die because of the greatness of food. I have never eaten better than in Greece. I have traveled to almost every continent and across many regions in Asia and virtually all of Europe, but Greece's cuisine and exceptional food and ingredients are unparalleled. And you don't even have to taste a dish. Just try a watermelon or an apple or just a tomato. It's the best in the world. And this cake looks just as incredible as how I am used to food in Greece every time I go there.

Hi, I made this cake and it turned out absolutely delicious. My ode to Akis is to try making his recipes and definitely share my review and what went right and what went wrong so that the fellow amateur bakers/ cooks can try it too.

What was great - absolutely delicious, I tried a syrup Greek cake for the first time. The recipe is bang on with its flavours and ingredients.

What went wrong - nothing, it was perfect

What did I do ? - I halved all the ingredients (reduced the sugar by 1/4th cup in the cake batter to adjust sweetness to my level), baked it in a loaf tin, and baked it at 335 F ( don't have 330 f settings) for 55 mins.

What a stunner. I am definitely doubling it and making a larger version. Loved the chocolate, nuts, spices. Love Akis, love this cake.

I had a slumber party with several adult women because a friend's mom died. We streamed your show and watched 4 or more in a row. This was the first one, It reminded me of the rum cakes they used to make for Christmas that were bundt cakes. Rum is delicious with raisins.

Dear Akis, I wanna try this gorgious cake but in Germany we don't know what is hard flour.. Do u mean the hard semolina or can I use all purpose flour as well?
