Take a break if you need, we aren't going anywhere

Only parents should be allowed to do ad reads from now on for every YouTube channel

What?! You mean there is an alternative stress reliever to drinking a lot of alcohol?

This video has summed up so much of how I've been feeling with my own work lately, right up to the point mere minutes before this dropped into my subscriptions. Thank you for being so honest, and capturing all my frustrations. I hope this channel never stops, but if you need to take a break - we'll be here when you get back.

I love watching your videos, but I'd rather get one every six months where you loved it than regular ones where you're being worn down.

Why not do Q&A's when you need a break? Literally film yourself on a couch answering our questions.

Then you still get content up for the almighty algorithm, but you can also take two weeks off because you can probably do that one in a day.

Having your parents do your shilling is straight big brain and I love it

The take, has a video very similar to this on how the movie appeals to overworked melannials. So it's no surprise this movie really appeals to you at this time of your life. The movie just captures the essence of overwork so well.

Hi, I'm crying on my lunch break at work because this is too relatable. I had the same epiphany of sorts with Kikis about two years ago because of burning out, and I'm in the middle of burning out again with my work. I had already booked myself a week off at the end of the month (this our slow period) to really take a breather of some variety, but your description of that feeling that "if I work really hard now, and get those numbers up, THEN I can relax" and it never actually happening that way has been getting me super down

I will be here to watch your videos, and I'll love them even more if you're rested and taking care of yourself. I wish the algorithm and these platforms that have you create content and make tons of money off of it just to give you a piece would be more generous. You deserve incredible, good things without having to break yourself to get them.

Lots of love 💜💜💜

Relating to this so much, especially the feeling guilty when not working part. And feeling stressed and anxious constantly because of all the pressure to upload on time.

Really relate to this to myself. Chasing a goal on YouTube that probably isn't real and will never eventuate. Good talk man 👍

"Spirited away is Miyazaki's best movie, but Kiki is still my favourite" I FELT THAT

"The last video was supposed to be a way more ambitious one, but I was struggling to figure it out. So I swapped it out at the last minute with a simpler one... and even that was a challenge to finish."

This whole video hit me real hard. Been feeling a lot of the exact same anxieties this year and it means a lot to know, at least, that I'm not alone in that.

We’ll be here, dude. And those 40-minute videos can always be two-parters, which suddenly means hey, you’re ahead now.

Such a great video! Another thing I really loved is how Kiki is paid in the film. She doesn't have a set fee, instead she just kind of excepts what ever chum change people throw her way. And it's obvious that while her clientel apprieciates her, they also don't pay her that well, even though she acts like it in the film. There's this throwaway scene where Kiki sees some nice shoes, she wanna buy. But we never see her go back and get them. So she can't be making that much.

As someone who has been working in the freelance writing industry for next to nothing for three years now, I'm properly projecting... But it still yet another element of this film that I love.

"It looks like a combination of Paris and Stockholm."

Stockholm and Visby, actually! (Old medieval city, also located in Sweden.) These were the two locations Miyazaki visited to scout out location concepts for the movie.

There's something to consider about the sabbath. Its less about adhering to some obscure commandment and more about taking time to refresh for the week's work.

If Every Frame a Painting came out with a new video today I'd still go straight over to that channel and watch it. Relax Patrick we're here with you

I love the modern critical lens that this film's been receiving -- how it so perfectly captures the struggles of artists, millennials, or just anyone who feels beaten down by expectations -- it's always been one of my favorites, ever since I was a kid, but nowadays I feel like I resonate with it even more now than I used to

The extra material on that Blu-Ray is delightful, especially if you're swedish. It has a nice japanese lady walking around Stockholm and Visby like it's a fantasy land. She imagines Kiki flying around the towns, asks shop owners about trolls and witches etc. Watch it if you haven't.
