WHY IS THE INTERVIEWER ASKING YOU THE QUESTION, WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES?
They are asking you this question for two reasons.

The first reason is, that they want to know how your strengths are going to ADD VALUE to their company in the role. That is why you must choose several strengths the employer will definitely find appealing.

The second reason they are asking you the question, what are your strengths and weaknesses, is because they want to hear if you are going to be honest about your weakness and whether your weakness could potentially hinder your ability to perform to a high standard in the position.

Weaknesses always best to honest, even if it for the job match, as you will be caught out in the end. I told them a weaknesses for a job match and they were fine about it, as i could turn this in a positive how I could/can improve on it.

One of my weaknesses was presenting in front of a group, it really impacted my career going forward, as I am fine in a sales presentation, or a small group of clients or Co Workers, but standing up in front of an audience even 5 people in a sales meeting, I froze...So I joined a local 'Toast Masters' group...the largest group I presented to was in India to about 1500 people at an architecture conference on Building Systems...

I need a good response to the interview question. Have you ever cut corners to get a task done? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The industry I work in (chemical processing) is very strict on following procedures, but I feel like saying that I have never cut corners would be a lie… I’m lost on what to say.
