Many are critical of Andrew Yang, but he actually answers questions and has discussions with the like minded and those of dissent. Rare! One might not agree with his politics, but the man has ideas and Americans should get behind this, if nothing but for open primaries and rank choice voting!

The most calm, level-headed political discussion I’ve heard since…

This interview may have been a little better than Krystal's interview. Bother are FANTASTIC, and show us the Andrew Yang many of us became enamored with in the presidential run. Please Saagar, and Marshal, continue to follow Andrew's course and provide updates. And revisit with him again!

Awesome interview, would love to see more of Yang here as the party develops.

Thank you for having Andrew Yang on. Excited to see how his new party changes the system. Just having someone who takes on the challenge of changing the system is rare. I also appreciate the quality of the interview questions and discussions. I feel like folks like Andrew, Krystal Ball, Taibbi and both of you are the future of politics/media. I want this video to be viewed by every single American. Forward Independent sounds like what I have been trying to explain to friends/family/voter registration for the last 10 years. It's my political philosophy. POTUS votes Perot, Bush, Bush, Obama, Obama, didn't vote, Biden. Keep it up 👍

It’s certainly a bit scary when Yang, a very educated, pragmatic and seemingly optimistic person points out that we’re on the path to civil war if things don’t improve

Wow. Marshall. I'm super impressed. Remember you back from speech and debate days in high school, and I see you've really made good use out of it. Enjoyed this thoroughly.

I remember how I felt the first time I saw Andrew on TYT when he first announced his candidacy for president. I still feel this way. Very hopeful.

One thing you can't say is that Andrew is not making a genuine effort. He's really fighting for these issues in the best way he knows how, and is continuing to learn and tweak his approach. I trust him implicitly because of his sincerity and lack of selfish motives.

Go Yang go, if he can't lead us out of this political nightmare I'm not sure anyone can.

I watched Krystal Ball's Yang interview. There he specified that the Forward Party wouldn't nominate candidates, but would get behind ones who backed their Six Planks. He said they'd also focus on state and local elections, not just national ones. Maybe he'll talk about that here.

"Why don't you just take over the Democratic party" is a bit of a naive question by Saagar. A third party is the answer because it forces the duopoly to compete for the marginal vote. The third party doesn't have to win, it just has to force the duopoly to change to capture enough votes to win.

I got the advance copy too. I loved his last book, made a lot of sense. I probably would have supported him in the primary if I knew more about him.

I appreciate Marshall's rather soft-spoken commentary. But I must usually increase my volume when he speaks. Maybe he could be mixed in a little more loudly. Thanks for you both for your great podcast which I listen to every time you do it.
