Less about the driving aspect, more so about the different points you'd consider when buying a wheelbase (especially if you can't try the base out... because as of October 2024, that's been a bit of an issue).

As a Simagic expert. What would be your recommended settings for the Simagic Alpha U? I mostly play ACC, AC and AMS2.

1:13 they definitely missed with sequential mode on the DS-8X. That throw is far too long. It will also get stuck in position if the tension is even slightly tight. Huge disappointment on that for me.

Every single wheelbase doesn't have all the same hardware lol some use outrunner servos, some use MiGE motors some use compeltely different ones. Many are completely custom. Like asetek wheelbases had a very custom motor made for them by MiGE differclty. But yes simagic is amazing I love my ultimate and yes software matters alot in differences.

Just saying we have a bunch of different servo motors. Some traditional some not.

Stay away from this company. The best hardware is no good if the software sucks. Simagig has been screwing people on the Discord for ages now. They can't even get the automatic wheel angle at Raceroom. Every time you change a car you have to go into the software and adjust the wheel angle. :-(((. They are just too stupid. They always put time and work into new products instead of building their existing ones

i spent months debating simagic U (black friday sale) vs simucube 2 pro. first time i didnt buy once cry once, and im gonna be really pissed if i regret it. the only difference i heard was software, then simagic caught up? Cant trust people. But also the true spec number difference is also subjective. I will try the SC 2 pro in the future but no clue how long it'll take to reconfigure correctly within a return window to see if it's worth the $600 jump
just bought my Alpha U this morning.
also i dont wanna abuse the free consultation but im not sure what else i need to buy/consider. i just forgot i needed the side mount plates
