I love how honest you are with this, telling us about what went into the album, the lyrics and everything. I'm not that old myself, but I remember my days, so to speak, when I was 16. I was just as passionate about music as you. except I didn't have the luxury of affording neither good recording setup, save for a mobile phone and a speaker, nor an electric guitar. I did it on my cheap acoustic. recorded covers and 4 originals. I played my originals with the leads first and recorded this on my mom's phone. then transferred this file to my dad's phone using Bluetooth and played the lead track via the speaker and then layered the rhythm over it, live, and recorded all of this on my mom's phone again. and gosh the surrounding noises; the traffic, the airplane and the jet, the occasional construction work. I've had to abandon said recording sessions cuz of all this and redo em again after few months or so, but it was fun. I used to then mail this song to my friends and they kinda enjoyed it. those were fun days. 😂 now I cringe after listening to those.

but anyways, thanks for sharing the history haha. and I'm looking forward to more from the series. :)

One of mt fav albums during my childhood days. My misery & Darkened moon are most epic songs i ever heard. I still listen to them after so many years... Hope u make remastered version of entire album someday

You are a dedicated person. Most writers have similar experiences....I like hearing about the stories behind songs. I actually didn't mind the first version of the song on the video. You know I pop in from cooking channel so I heard it today and found it ok

great backstory, only heard D.R for the first time last year, so its good to get some history. don't be so hard on yourself you were 16, most songwriters/guitarists would kill to do what you were doing at that age half as good.
