Thank you for your research and motivation. The largest (oldest) tree I have ever seen in person was in Lisbon, Ohio. The locals estimated it at over 300 years old. It is located between Chestnut st. and E.Chestnut st. in the woods donated by the Moore family (over 50 years ago) Trees are sacred and essential. I am a "tree hugger" and not ashamed to claim that.

I've hiked among the Bristle Cone Pine trees back in the 1980s. The ranger that gave me information about my hike advised me to follow a certain trail and at some point along said hike that I would walk past Methuselah! He did not reveal the exact location of "The Oldest Tree in the World" for its own protection! I did, however, take pictures of every tree that I thought might possibly be Methuselah so it's a fair assumption to say I most likely do have a pick among my collection! It excites me every time I think about it as I'm browsing through my album.

Promethius didn't have to be cut down, the scientist drill bit was stuck, he couldn't remove it, so rather than leave it he cut the tree down to retrieve his bit. Then seeing the rings, he realized what a mistake he had made.

My dad used to own property in golden Colorado and we had a massive bristle cone pine that was alive. I wish I was into trees back then because I bet it’s over 3000 years old

Olive trees are the longest living trees as far as i know in Crete there is a tree which its age is more than 5000 years old. Plus i know a place in Crete which has even older trees plus in todays syria that time ancient Greek colony are the twin sister olive trees more than 6000 years old.
