Sono italiano e ho conservato sempre un bellissimo ricordo di quella Repubblica Ceca straordinaria. In finale ho tifato per la squadra ceca, avrei voluto che fosse lei a vincere il titolo e l' avrebbe meritato senza nulla togliere alla Germania.🇮🇹🇨🇿

It really annoys me when so many people say that if England had beaten Germany in the semis, we would've won the tournament. It's disrespectful to this good Czech side. Berger and Smicer both went on to have great careers in England. Poborksy went on to win almost 120 caps. Nedved won the Ballon D'or a few years later. Considering the Czechs were 20 minutes away from eventually winning the final, not to mention we had been poor against Switzerland, poor for one half against Scotland and got lucky against Spain, it's a big assumption and one I've never agreed with.

To były wspaniałe mistrzostwa. Anglicy w półfinale, w tych swoich zielonkawych strojach, do dziś je pamiętam. Kuzyn na wakacjach był u nas, kibicował niemcom, ja anglikom, a potem czechom. To byli bohaterowie naszych podwórkowych zabaw. Kouba, do dziś pamiętam nazwisko tego chłopa choć przecież później gdzieś przepadł w piłkarskiej otchłani. Chyba nie widziałem nigdy później Euro na wyższym poziomie. A może to sentyment do wspaniałych, kolorowych lat dzieciństwa?

Byl to první turnaj, co jsem sledoval. Bylo mi moc líto, zlatého gólu ve finále. Hned po turnaji byl zlatý gól zrušen. Ta jako po ME v roce 2004 byl zrušen stříbrný gól. Všechno zrušili, až na to doplatila česká reprezentace.
