I liked when you talked about the technical and logistical challenges of pulling off a Major event. You should see if you could interview one of the people in charge of this at Riot to get a better insight into what goes into these events. I would for sure watch that.

It's confusing how this is so hard for Riot NA to throw an event, because NA has such a great history of throwing.

This is why Travis doesn't work for riot. We need videos that bring things like this to attention :)

Yes, this. I get so aggravated with the lol esports page. You cannot get any advance information on things. Even to find out when these things are going to happen, much less where, you need to be more than a casual viewer. If riot wants to lure more people into lol esports, they could start by setting the website up to look long term and professional. I think it is hard for people inside the community to realize how hard it is for people just getting interested to find the information they want.

I'm totally with you on this. There have been so many times that I've wanted to attend things like NA Summer Playoffs and not been able to plan in advance.

I find the venue times, and places to be very prohibitive to fans. I really wanted to go to worlds last year, but they announced it so late in the year I was unable to take off from work. I make well enough money to go, but without time in advanced cannot take off. I'm sure a good number of fans have a similar problem.

I agree with this, I know where the super bowl will be next year, don't know where worlds for league will be this year and that's the one I care about. Great vid T.

Couldn't agree more. It amazes me that they wait so long to announce where it's happening. I would absolutely love to go to an event with my brother who got me into league, but we live on opposite sides of the country and it would take a lot of coordination to do so. It's impossible to coordinate trips like that if you only find out a couple of months before where it will be.

Travis, I don't always have money to support you on your Patreon, but even if I don't have time to watch your videos, I click on all of them, and give you a like; hope my little bit of support helps!

Atlanta would be great, eSports is definitely a pretty big thing here since HiRez is here and almost all of the universities have a large eSports, especially League, audience. Understandable why not since all the teams are out west and several people involved in Riot/LCS around Canada and the north east.

Somewhere in Texas like Houston or Dallas would be nice for LCS finals

Marc Merrill: Good question, Travis. Why aren't we announcing events earlier?
Riot event coordinator: Uhh...
Marc Merrill: You're fired.

I had the situation last year where I was flying from Indiana to California to watch the lcs before flying on to Australia and the tickets for the lcs week 5 didn’t go on sale until 2 weeks before the actual event. We had to rearrange our flights and hotel 2 weeks before the event so we could attend. No reason the lcs tickets shouldn’t all be available considering they’re in the lcs studio each week anyway....

I know the reason may be because there are not a ton of fans where I live, but I just gotta say that I'm extremely salty that nothing esports happens in my area, the DC Metro area. It is one of the biggest metropoles in the country and yet, no events happen here. LCS went to Boston, CS:GO went to Boston, goes to Atlanta; even in OWL they named teams after Florida and also Boston/NY/Philadelphia. Even if you want to talk about music concerts, we're an unpopular destination for tours. Maybe there's a bigger problem here. But all I want is for esports to come here.

Besides DC Metro, other areas that could get some love are Texas, Florida, and as you mentioned, maybe Seattle-ish.
