Pro tip: put it in R at high speeds for RACE MODE!

To the person who asked the question: the engine at 1200 rpm or so cannot be instantly transferred to the wheels, just not possible, you slowly transfer the power to wheels

Tutorial how to see jesus:

Hold that clutch then rev that shit until it reached max rpm 5000-8000 rpm depends on your car and when it reaches the max dump that clutch and there you go you are with jesus now!

You're basically matching two plates together. One is moving, and one isn't. Releasing the clutch too fast joins these plates together at very different speeds, causing it to not catch.

It's easier to slowly match the rotation of an object in motion than to just force something to match the same speed immediately.

How to tell a manual driver or not

Manual driver advice: clutch slowly out, hold gas lightly or more, does matter clutch controls the car and then hold the clutch for about a second and then slowly let go for a butter smooth start.

Non manual driver: Smack that gas and then let go of the clutch instantly!

Wow this was a great explanation. I’ve watched animation videos and was left so confused but this great gave background and buildup to the full explanation!

I get a severe vibration from my engine bay, when am about releasing the clutch and it reaches the biting point( its worse when am climbing sharp hills or reversing at low rpm between 1000rpm to 800rpm, while on 1st gear, thats when it happens). It only goes away when i press the accelarator pedal a bit and above 1000rpm and speeding or i put it in neutral, it becomes smooth as butter. I changed all my engine mounts and gearbox mounts, changed my clutch plate, changed spark plugs, cleaned my air and fuel line, changed fuel pump, new tires and its still happening. My mechanic says it might be a problem from the clutch pressure plate, but while it was disassemble earlier, by physical observation it was looking mechanically ok. Please, i need advise or help from anyone who knows better or has had similar experience to solve this problem. This is my 1st manual car and it wasn't vibrating this badly when i first got it, now am not too excited driving it. Thanks, ur enlightenment will be greatly appreciated.

For all of you saying rev it up and then dump the clutch. First off you must have started driving a manual with no help or understanding so however you think you drive it and the car goes you think its fine but its not. When you quickly let off that clutch and the car is being revved its putting way too much stress on the clutch!

Normally if you just partially engage the clutch the car will start moving and then you can slowly release it.. but what happens if when you do that it nearly stalls?

It’s called dumping the clutch, the reason you can’t do it is because it has to match the transmission with the engine

But then why do you press the clutch in and out quickly during gear change? How come its not a slow lifting off as well?

Sorry I am an automatic driver but this stuff is rather fascinating.

I like how in the U.S very few Americans drive a manual, so when it comes to driving a manual, it's ironically like alien technology to them.
