The land is called Kumari khanda the single piece of land where all living beings existed. Later it got sunk in the ocean with the Maharishi carrying the gene of every being in a large ark that was pulled and saved by a large fish. Later the land was restored and brought up to the level and after which it was restored. Thereafter it spilt and the different continents were formed. There's nothing called Hinduism, it's a made-up term by westerners. At vedic age, we had no need to identify and distinguish ourselves because dharma is only one, there was no concept of religion. Now we call ourselves as Sanatan, but it's still not a religion. A religion is bound by a set of pre-determined rules, where the God reaches out to humanity by prophets or miracles. In Sanatan, we must evolve and enrich ourselves to realize the nature (prakriti) and the God (purush). So, no! Hinduism is not the mother of all religions. It's not a religion at all.
