It’s straight up just the extra cheese plus pan that makes this great specifically the Domino’s, if you’re a connoisseur you get light sauce because they ALWAYS add too much sauce. And yes, add mushrooms or bell peppers to cut the grease. It’s what we do. I started getting these from Domino’s when they reformulated, they replaced my Pizza Hut though I still like the hut.
I’m also a big fan of the shaqeroni, there’s a trend here. If you like cheese and heavy, flavorful food, then these are what you get at the pizza franchises. 👌

I suspect that these "random" people promoting this are tied to a marketing campaign. I remember years ago reading an article either in the LA Times or LA Weekly that spoke about companies paying people to talk loudly in public places about how good a product was. It was supposed to seem like a regular person but in reality a paid promoter.

If you do the 2 mediums for $6.99, $7.99 in California, and you make that pizza, it only costs $13.49. But you have to buy two items minimum. Adding a 2nd item, sandwich, pasta, etc. At $7.99 brings the total to $21.47. Before tax.

If you add a 2nd pizza made the same way, Then your total would be $26.98 for two of those pan pizzas.

EDIT: I live in Cali so i gave their price. It would be $19.47 and $24.98, respectively, in other places.
