What a powerful trio, i met Kenny in 1975 in Va Beach at Peabodys, i was the drummer for ARMAGEDDON BAND, He taught me the power of the RIM SHOT, and we walked over to ZEROS and had a sub,

Not only was Pee Wee a fine musician, he also managed to sell me a fair amount of gear out of Harry's down at the old Glenwood location. Nice, low key guy.

Old school, Raleigh/central North Carolina music scene at its best!

In the early 80s I saw PKM, Nantucket, and Doc Holliday all in one show at the old ice rink in Hillsborough, NC. If I could relive any of the hundreds of concerts I’ve seen it would be that show.

In '82 these guys used to rock the club and college circuit in Eastern North Carolina. I left for Alaska in fall '82 and never heard from them again which really surprised me. I figured with MTV coming out these guys would get the break they clearly deserved for national attention.

I remember one of the many times I saw them was in Goldsboro. They opened for Cheap Trick. Before they were finished with their set, Cheap Trick came out from behind the stage and were watching them play cause they were KILLING IT. Those were the days.

I remember seeing these guys at a place called The Cellar in Fayetteville, NC in 1983-84 on a few occasions when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg I actually talked to Mike and he's the first person I think, if I remember correctly, uses Hybrid Strings a mix of 9's and 10's or something like that. I also remember seeing Nantucket there, the Artimus Pyle Band, the Atlanta Rhythm Section and a band called Island with the Lead Singer who went by the name Zack Robar and they had an Original titled Hollyweird or Undo the Hollyweird, been many moons since then.

This brings back many memories. Saw PKM after they split off from Nantucket at Baity's in Winston-Salem. They were basically the rhythm section of Nantucket that said bye bye yall. Pee Wee always brought the heat and was a class act just chopping it up off stage. I hope he's doing well now.
