Dispatch audio reveals new details about wrong-way police chase on highway

According to dispatch audio, OPP officers raised concerns about a wrong-way police chase on the 401 moments before a fatal multi-vehicle collision. Erica Natividad with whether Durham Regional Police may have broken protocol in pursuing the vehicle.

The cop who actively pursued him on the wrong side of the highway should be blamed for the accident. Cops in most cases would have called off the pursuit if the chase would have endangered someone. And that's what happened, the pursuit of this guy cause him to continue driving recklessly which he wiped out an entire family.

I knew a young girl in college who was killed after being hit by a car in a police chase. These types of events should never happen. Tragic and unnecessary.

The chase should have stopped long before they got on the 401. The cops though will investigate themselves and find they did nothing wrong.

All this for alcohol... thank you for highlighting the fact that a helicopter could and probably should have been used, but arent there cameras at the LCBO that would help track down the person at a later date, maybe when they are hungover from his stolen goods so no one is hurt.
