Today it's the bustle hustle...
Sorry, I had to. I do apologize this video is a bit shorter than the last few, but luckily these Victorian skirts do go together quite quickly, and of course in my rush I unfortunately didn't get as much filmed of the sewing process as usual. I hope you are all staying safe and are taking time for yourselves during these stressful days.

More from me?

But wait there's more! A PO BOX finally wahoo!

First, a disclaimer: So many of you have kindly offered to send me things, including vintage items you may have inherited, and I am so honored you would think of me and of course I do adore vintage treasures, however, unfortunately I only have so much storage space currently! So there is a chance that if something just wont work for me, or doesn't fit me etc, that I may not be able to keep all of your lovely things. Please only send things if you are okay with the possibility that I may donate items I just cannot keep. If you would prefer I put things that I can't keep into the TCH Etsy shop to help raise funds for me and the channel, please specify this in a note or letter in your parcel. Thank you so much!

Am I the only one who wants this intro to just be the intro forever?

I swoon for this dress.
Also, 1800s to 1950s. Whatever tickles you, we’ll watch it.

Look at that little 99 sewing like a champ! Can't go wrong with those old machines.

That moment when you realise that you have spent days making the thing and everyone is going to swoon over the tassel! Stunning 😍

TV have good patterns based on actually patterns from magazines - they are newbie friendly, but they sometimes leave things unsaid like how to finish the waistband - I was lucky to have a grandma to tech me.

Gorgeous!!

And as far as slapping things on... you should see some of the videos looking at actual Victorian/Edwardian/early vintage pieces. The messiness inside on practically all of them makes me feel so much better on ugly-but-hidden bits!

1885 looks fabulous on you!!! You really do pull this off so well. I know you love the more recent era clothing but Girl you totally pull this off so well!! I watch a lot of Victorian and regency costumers. And I have to say You make it work some how!! They look modern in vintage wear but you look the part!!! I am so in awe!! Oh and totally keep the intro. I love it. The music the lighting!!! So you. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

I love, love, love this project! Also the Victorian attitude towards trimming was "more is more, " so keep the bow, add the ribbons, add tassels, go nuts!

You look stunning. Your sewing skills and tutorials are remarkable. I have collected vintage fashion for forty years. I have about 1000 garments dating from 1860-1960. Your attention to detail is amazing. I was a re-enact or as well as a tour guide and docent for architectural tours and always wore an appropriate, original outfit. I later produced several vintage clothing fashion shows for various charities and worked at several museums. I am not able to do that anymore. So, you definitely provide me with an outlet for my love of costume and fashion. I look forward to all your posts. Thank you.

I love the mileage you can get out of Victorian costumes by making different bodices and overskirts for different looks. Basically the OG capsule wardrobe!

Luxurious taffeta is the perfect choice for any bustle skirt because of the way that it bends and moves the light around it. Because of that, I vote for more ribbons...a gal can't have enough sparkle. I loved it last week and loving it more in the light of day. Brava!

This is a work of art! The fitting is superb, your stitching skills are excellent, the colour scheme really suits you and the embellishing brings it all together. I would love to see you work with the rich jewel colours such as ruby, dark purple and sapphire. Please may we have more historical gowns with a gothic edge to them. It was also good to see longer videos. I loved it !!

Are you tired of my compliments on this project? I hope not 😆 cause again just amazing. I do really love the fabric choice and I think you have sold me on Truly Victorian patterns, not that I needed a lot of push but the fact you did the under and over skirt in about 2 days is killer! I honestly had not planned on fully watching this series today but here I am and I’m not even mad about it ❤️. I’m here for what ever you creat and post 🌻 have a wonderful evening.

This is such an amazing gown! And I fully understand the “quick get it done” aspect and appreciate that you went back to film the rest afterwards. Because HALLOWEEN!

I like the addition of the second bow! I can see extra tassels/ribbons looking quite nice in the contrast colour (they were quite big on contrast splashes!). It’s looking fab so far! Can’t wait to see how this project evolves!

“I had to do it, so I did ! “ do you mean to be so inspirational? I swear sometimes the right words are spoken at the right time!
