Discover how easy the GROHE Rapido SmartBox is to install.

With three outlets for a wider range of shower options, the GROHE Rapido SmartBox can take on the job where two rough-ins are normally needed. Which is a huge savings in work and effort.

The GROHE Rapido SmartBox makes adapters practically redundant. It has ½" connections, made to fit all standard pipes. Where other rough-ins with ¾" outlets are made to fit the exception not the rule, the GROHE Rapido SmartBox is designed to fit 90 % of all pipes. Smart, isn’t it?

About GROHE:

This was way easier to understand than the printed directions in the box.

My shower is done, I just came back for the music. ♫♫

Temporary big plug with 16 bars of pressure (1:45) will leak like crazy. Ours leaked with regular household pressure of about 6 bars soaking the ceiling below when left overnight. Grohe support stated that this plug supposed to be used only for flushing the lines and not left in for the installation of the walls/tiles. This video clearly shows using this temp plug for the wall installation. The temp plug also comes with only 2 screws. The actual cartridge with valves does not leak and that is what we used during the wall installation. Grohe: please correct your instructions and videos that mislead and might cause some serious damage!

My handheld comes on when I turn dial left, however the handheld is situated to the right of the showerhead. How can I revers this so that the showerhead which is on the left side turns on when I turn the dial left instead of when i turn it to the right. Does this make sense? I think my plumber screwed it up.

Dear, I have a problem and I need to know how to solve it please:

No matter how I install the blue knob, when it comes to regulating the water to be able to mix the cold water with the hot water, it cannot do so.

either it comes out very cold, or it comes out very hot. It is impossible to regulate it to a warm nice temperature.

Could you tell me what the problem would be and, if applicable, the spare part that I should replace to buy it. Thank you

Huh, I think some steps involving pipes would be handy.

I just had one of these installed. Now I can’t get my shower hot enough. Is there any way to turn it up hotter ?

Grohe's written directions suck!! These videos are somewhat helpful. But, still lacking!

Not impressed ....First off there is no standard installation with that printed rough in garbage on the housing, you have to use your own brain to gauge where to cut the pos ...The only thing that is accurate are the jig caps used to cut the stems....I personally had no problem installing this because I'm used to using a tape and installing things based off of measurements, it's how we do it in the Elevator trade but this isn't for a basic DIY warrior...The tech manual is useless and poorly illustrated an their live tech support is less knowledgeable than I am with plumbing...I do have a great deal of plumbing knowledge but shouldn't know more about Grohe's product than the tech support monkeys ...You also can't really get the valve to go to completely cold and hot you have to compromise one of them a little ...The volume control is a freaking joke too...Looks great but Delta makes a better product...I'll never use Grohe again when I build another bathroom, their engineering is goofy .
