Catherine Hardwicke Interview - 1 on 1 with Kristian Harloff

On today’s episode of 1 on 1 with Kristian Harloff, Perri Nemiroff sits in the host’s seat to interview Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the first Twilight movie starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Catherine and Perri discuss the 10 year anniversary of the film and revisit her experiences in making the film. They also go in depth about the legacy of the movie and how it affected her career. Hardwicke has directed such well received movies as Thirteen with Evan Rachel Wood and Holly Hunter and the Lords of Dogtown starring a young Heath Ledger and Emile Hirsch. She’s also directed numerous episodes of TV for such notable shows as Hell on Wheels, Low Winter Sun, and Eyewitness. Hardwicke is here to promote her latest film Miss Bala which is a remake of a 2011 film of the same name that was written and directed by Gerardo Naranjo. Hardwicke’s version stars stars Gina Rodriguez and Anthony Mackie. Gina plays Gloria who finds a power she never knew she had when she is drawn into a dangerous world of cross-border crime with the Mexican cartels. Surviving will require all of her cunning, inventiveness, and strength.

Hardwicke is a fantastic director with a varied and interesting resume of projects. This is an illuminating, enjoyable and in depth conversation with one of the best directors working in the business today. I enjoyed this interview. I like Catherine because I did enjoy the first Twilight and I was disappointed when they didn't choose her to continue the franchise. I admire that she uses her platform to highlight other talented women. I wouldn't be surprised if she requested Perri, their rapport here is excellent. I'm glad Perri did the interview this time.

Maybe Harloff bounced from this interview cos news recent broke of; "Star Wars: Knight Of The Old Republic" fan Mod by Apeiron was cancelled after Disney's legal threat to the guys who were trying to recreate the title using; Unreal Engine 4. He loves the older classic game and wanted the fan Mod to be very successful. I reckon an upcoming Collider Podcast video will address this from his perspective as recent news right?!

Catherine Hardwick has good movies under her belt. Lords of dog town being my fav. Yes twilight is awful (rewatched and yep it’s really bad still this isn’t a case of ok first movie then it goes downhill it’s a bad movie that goes worse till it’s hilariously bad/ also in metoo it really doesn’t work since it’s aimed at girls) but I don’t blame her for it. Check out her movies everyone !.

I saw all of the movies and read the books . I'm still cant believe the vampires glitter in the sun. lol ( spoilers alert). I know it's not the directors fault and Kristen sucked ass bell but hey they made a lot of money from it. I had to get over the glitter stuff to enjoy the movie and book.
