My Honest Opinion On Most Software Developer Jobs

Getting a new job in software can be a great thing. However, there are some things you need to know that you may experience during your new career. No career or job is perfect, so you may be wondering if making this career change is worth it. In this video I describe what I've experienced so far in my career so you will know what to expect.

Your tip about Project managers is so spot on. I work for a tech consultant company so we have multiple projects, so that means I have multiple project managers. Their attitudes can really make or break your attitude towards their projects. Thankfully I have understanding project managers, but there is one that means well but is breathing down my neck most times. I'm lucky to have a boss that had to do most of the programming for my role before I filled it, so he knows that one bug could take days. Otherwise I'd be out of there so fast.

Great vid! I’m a career switcher myself, and I will be ready to apply soon, but it’s good to get insight like this in order to prep myself.
