This happened to me twice almost, I was in a store and I saw a big bottle of alcohol and during those days I thought of my wife.I was doing bad with the grief but I was able to stop myself. If it happens again it won’t be good. You are right when you are like this the alcohol will make things worse it won’t bring them back, I don’t even drink
