I love how this manages to be creepy and unsettling but relaxing and chill at the same time. Reminds me of some of Akira Yamaoka’s music for the Silent Hill games.

I remember playing Hitman: Contracts back in the summer of 2019, back when I just ended elementary school and started applying to a high school. One night I was inside my old apartment and with a laptop so bad you needed a fan shoved to the side of it just for it not to overheat; I'm talking about 15 FPS on the smallest resolution.
Then, while playing the third mission this song started playing and it has been living in my mind rent free ever since.

Now, five years later, after a ton of heartbreaks, graduating high school, working an actual 9-5 and enrolling into college I'm taking my final exams to finish off my first semester. I may not be playing as much Hitman as I used to play, but I'm proud of the fact I spent those years beating the first five games on the hardest difficulty, as well as growing into the person I am today with the friends I have in this period of my life. And even after all of those years I still play this song whenever I want to take my mind off of today's struggles and responsibilities.

It's somewhat ironic as I write this during a cold, snowy night outside. You could even say that Winter Nights are my favourite...

Extremely nice piece of art. Contracts was the most brutal, darkest and heavy-ambienced Hitman game. It was awesome.

I remembered the beginning of this soundtrack (0:00 - 0:38), when I was once in a forest in the middle of the night. It was during winter, it snowed heavily, and my only source of light was my head lamp, and I could also see the street lights in the village not too far from my location. The feeling was - eerie, mainly because my imagination was working overtime. And did I mentioned this was part of the forest, where the wolves live?

This theme always reminds me of the mission "The Wang Fou Incident" where if you go and navigate the dark rooms in Lee Hongs house and get to his office; there is a single lamp on the desk. There in the light will be Orthmeyer's key. It's one of two places it can be found I believe. That's how you get the gatling gun from the "brother" in the asylum that's behind the locked door

By far my favourite song from the OST of contracts... soooo eerie and haunting. I just love the sound effects Jesper Kyd uses and wish I could get my hands on his sound board for that echo effect he uses.
