Glad your family is safe from Helene! We are in Simpsonville SC, right outside of Greenville and it was pretty rough here too. We had multiple trees come down, 1 on the roof, lost power for 8 days, and lost our fridge/freezer. We are so thankful that was the only damage and losses we had. The tree has been removed and our house has been tarped so we have been back in our house for a few days. I just restocked the fridge and freezer this morning. My heart breaks for WNC! The stories I've heard and videos and pictures I've seen are just so shocking. We have been thinking of and praying for our WNC neighbors! My sons school is collecting supplies to donate to families who have lost so much and we are so happy we are able to help in donating. We are originally from Orlando FL so we have been through many hurricanes, still so shocking how far inland Helene came and the devastation she left behind. Now we're praying for all of our family and friends in FL as they are preparing for Category 5 Milton :(

So glad to hear you and your family are doing well after the hurricane. I live about an hour from the mountain areas that were hit so hard. It breaks my heart. We got hit pretty bad in our area but nothing compared to that. God bless you.

I live in avery county on the TN/NC border. We were hit hard, i have always felt totally safe from natural disasters. Definitely going to heed warnings from now on.

I live in Greenville, SC and this is the worst we've ever gotten hit. However, like you, I've remained so thankful. This has been devastating to our area and surrounding areas. I've tried to focus on gratitude most of all. Glad you are safe!
