In this video, I will be reviewing the Slate Digital Custom Opto Compressor audio plugin. The Custom Opto is basically an enhanced version of the infamous LA-2A compressor. What sets it apart is the addition of a ratio knob, speed control, and tone settings. The tone profiles allow you to dial in the compressor to taste with settings like warm, airy, and smooth. Excellent review, thanks very much. BTW "aggro" - "agg - row" is a diminutive of the word "aggressive" which is very Australian. Why Slate chose it, I've no idea.

I think tone is simply an internal sidechain
What it does actually, it boosts certain frequency range
This maybe explain why the compressor react differently from tone to another, which means "tone" or EQ is applied in the way in 🧐
