The Defqon 1 grounds are right next to an amusement park called Walibi Holland. Two separate events. - Yes, Defqon 1 has been every year (with the exception of 2020 and 2021 where they had Defqon at Home), and it's always the last weekend in June. - "Weekend Warriors" is the tribal term used for Defqon goers. Defqon 1 has had over 100K total (some just go for 1 or 2 days), and the Red Stage will usually have 60K at the bigger sets.

People all over the word come to see this Hardstyle event. It is a long weekend with multiple podiums. There is an event camping. I bring my son and his friends every year and there is a very good atmosphere. People are united in this hardstyle.

The organisation is mega. You should see some of the endshows of previous editions

ow dear he is going down the rabbit hole with the defqon video's he will be amazed how big and good it is and yes its harder style EDM music with alot of genres the festival has about 10 stages with every stage a different genre.

All the Numbers you hear in this movie are hardstyle hits. That’s why everybody knows them. My first Defqon was 2005, it started 20 years ago at Almere Beach. It devolped to a party of around 100.000 people each day if I’m right. It’s the biggest harder style music festival in the world and I thougt the biggest dance festival of the Netherlands.

Was here yesterday and going on sunday to. This is the biggest hardstyle festival in the world. Next year a whole weekend! You should go there. Its amazing!!!

I was there yesterday. I was watching the end show on mainstage. It was amazing. Its like art what they build there. Tonight live at 22.00 is angerfist closing the day. You must watch.

The build-up of the terrain begins about 4 weeks before the festival starts. The same applies for Lowlands which is held on the same terrain.

Although it is in Belgium the biggest dance event is Tomorrow Land, visitors from all over the globe visitors last year over the entire weekend. There are some pretty epic and great youtube clips of the final show there (lovely to listen during work hours 😂)

Paul, did you hear or see also that the mainstage was on fire? Literal....no party thing. The Fire and Safety team was able to extinguish the fire themselves. Cause of fire unkown. After the fire was under control they imidiatly started with the repairwork. No injured.
The festival could carry on as normal.

Ik heb de begin jaren van defcon meegemaakt op het strand van Almere. Ikzelf kom uit Spakenburg. 15 minuten met de boot. En gingen voor het strand voor anker liggen. Na een paar jaar werden we door de waterpolitie weg gestuurd. Maar ik ben als eigenaar van de boot niet op het feestje.
