If the OGs work well for you Kev you should give the invado a go!
Same feel but far better heel hold due to the added instep hammock!

Im seeing a pattern with this list… i like trying different boots and often commit to buying a pair. Obviously riding step ons means my selection is limited but i am coming back to dc next season :)

Definitely try boots in store before pulling the trigger. Many different foot shapes and sizes out there.

I love my white sambas lasted 4 seasons about 100-120 days and are pretty wrecked. Disappointed I can’t get a replacement so comfortable

I've always gone for brands that have history in making shoes in general. Started with Nike, then Adidas, and now since these two are no longer around I might try Vans next once my Adidas give way. And for some reason I've never had any foot pain... what other brands are there, DC I guess but they aren't that old.

Are high standards gonna be your go to for a minute? Vans makes such great boots... i'm bummed at the overhaul and redesign of the infuse last year / this year, they're SO heavy and bulky. i bought the '23 infuse and returned them. I'm thinking about grabbing a pair of invados cause they're so cheap and still have the tongue boa (tech hat i absolutely love) . I'm curious about how soft the high standards are compared to the tacticals, sambas and the Lashed, TM2 / TM3s you've worn in the past? All boots that I have worn as well... Would you ride High standards in pow / outside of the park?

Best boot is the one that fits your foot and your needs. Find an experienced boot fitter and buy what they say. I've found lower price boots dont last as long. My vans hi standards lost what little stiffness they had after 15 days. Have 150 days on a pair of ride trident. They were twice the price but are still as good as new and fit my riding style and my foot perfectly. One thing I've learnt in snowboarding. Don't buy budget boots or goggles. Buy stuff that works for you. You can rent or buy cheap 2nd hand everything else until you progress.

@snowboardprocamp do you have any more info regarding adidas pulling out the snowboarding market? Iv messaged adidas here in the UK and they have sed that they are continuing making snowboard boots. Not sure what’s going off lol

I have the Sambas too. They are comfortable, but the toebox design doesn't work well with any binding toestraps I've tried. The round shape always makes toestraps fall off!
