ya he’s not a very good captain imo. Like obviously i couldn’t do any better but it seems mcdavid just leads by example and when he’s not playing at his normal insane talent level, he’s not leading the team and the all mope around cause he’s moping around. I’m calling it once mcdavid goes on a quick point streak, the oilers will be back in a playoff spot in no time.

Woodcroft was the fall guy. He wasnt the greatest coach but if the Oilers were .500 right now, Woody would still be the coach. They had to do something. You have the best player in the league, and the 5th best player in the league, and number of really good forwards, a couple of solid defenseman, yep questionable goaltending.. but this team has to be a playoff team every year - if their record sucks then a change has to be made.
