for the people who didn't pay attention to the movie; Twilight is actually not dead and in perfectly good alicorn shape but she didn't look is big as she did in mlp g4 future so that should mean something

My theory is that, she is not the crystals, but became them at the same time. You explained how she made the crystals, but, you didn’t explain how the crystals fit into each other, it’s like a 0/3 fraction. And once you find all those fractions, you get the crystals with an Earth Pony’s hoove in the middle, a Pegasus Pony’s wings on the sides and bottom, and a Unicorn Pony’s horn. All those align to make a alicorn, just like twilight, as you already said. But, there is one more thing. Why does the crystals contain that much magic, and why do they last so long? Me myself, don’t know, but I’ll try to explain. The reasons artifacts last so long is because of some type of thing they are made with, than infused with magic. The magic remains there protecting the artifact, the more magic in there, the more new it looks, if there is alicorn magic is there, that magic will be so powerful that whoever takes the artifact would be more powerful than ever, and because of a new generation, I can also say that they can become a alicorn.

It makes total sense twilight seperated the artifacts and with it ponykind until the magical crisis ended, waiting for the time it ended so that somehow not only the artifacts are united but ponykind and all its magic with it.

I do wonder if twilights magic is in the crystal and the Unicorns, Pegasus, and earth ponys are using the magic contained inside the crystal wouldn't it also run out? Sense there cant be a infinite amount of magic sense she used up all of her magic. So if the crystal runs out of magic wouldnt that mean that eventually no pony will have magic again but this time forever not just for a extremely long time

I think that when twilight gave up all her magic she disappeared because of no physical strength and magic and not died at the time when sunny, zipp, pipp, hitch and izzy recieved a message from Twilight regarding the change in magic and it was not an illusion, or anything only It could be the magic inside the crystals forming the figure of Twilight to explain the fellow ponies about the danger and the magical figure soon disappeared because of the magical chaos leaving opaline the only alicorn left along with sunny.

my theory is that she became the crystals. transforming herself into them instead of leaving a chance that they could be used for evil she separated herself into each of the crystals it would kind of make sense with how she's able to use the crystals to appear within the show.

When I was small, I watched all of the eps and seasons, I didn’t think much abt it bc I was small and barely understood it, now I watched it again and again, finally understanding them and now from watching the new mlp gen and then seeing the glass walls and the mostly abandoned castle made me realize that…the ponies from twilights gen all died

So twilight sparkle has been seen in the new mlp series I think the crystals are a gift from the elements of harmony, bc they made a pony to a alicorn like, twilight find a spark in friendship which means she isn’t dead or smth she is still a alicorn.but she just found a other place to settle down. I hope this is a good theory.

This is very likley, I dont remember much about the show in the future, but I remember twilight sent out a holographic message saved for the future and she seemed like she was in a crissis. I like ur theory, and hope ur right.

The part where she could had made her self a normal pony again would be sense considering that she did look like a normal pony when she sent the message to the bright house. She didn't look grown up anymore so she probably did in fact turn back into a normal pony
But at the same time. She looked like she was still a unicorn or maybe still a alicorn because well it wasn't sure as we couldn't see her songs properly but she maybe sent it before turning back into a pony
