They are soooo good for pies and lemonade! They grow fairly true from seed--or at least its still some sort of giant sour lemon-like thing.

here in old Florida, there is a lemon the size of a volleyball and is called a plantation lemon and one fruit would make one pitcher of lemonade. the fruit has a lemon flavor but sweeter.

I am oddly relieved to see the lemon rate a lemon on the water-to-lemon scale. We live in an unpredictable world.

I knew it had something to do with pomelo as soon as I saw the size. It's like citrus gigantism.. What a beast of a fruit.

Thanks for sharing. Everyone I know who grows lemons, from seeds, tell me, they are nothing like lemons. They grow large, sweet, and tastey. I guess I'll never know.

Years ago I went to a place in Pennsylvania called Otts nursery. They had the whole trees, with fruit n all. Yes I got one, it was good.

2:05 Every time he says pith, I can't help but think of this one stupid joke:

One morning, the god Thor woke up from a truly epic orgy. Wandering the halls of Valhalla, he saw a handmaiden he'd never seen before. Thinking she was either a challenger or another conquest, he bellowed in his normal boisterous manner, "I'm Thor!" Her reply? _"You're_ Thor? I'm tho thor, I can hardly pith!"

I have a tree of these in my backyard, they're great.
I used to eat them with the peel on like an apple, but that would cause stomach aches so I stopped.

Awesome Super Mario Bros reference!!!
Anyone other than you, I’d have been convinced the thumbnail was clickbait.

I’ll have to try to get ahold of one of these, I make candied peel every year before Christmas. Great to have around for cakes and biscuits, and really nice dipped in dark chocolate. If you make a lot or make it often it helps to have a candy thermometer.

I didn't realize what you were doing with the mushroom at first. As soon as I heard the music, I knew it instantly. Lol

I recently found these and used them to make something call olio sacrum. It was fantastic like a strong lemon syrup.
