This is terrifying oh my goodness. The fact that he apologizes for hanging out with his friends is scary. A lot of abusers like to isolate their victims from friends/family, so that is sadly very accurate
+ the fact that Mary’s boyfriend isn’t given a name is kind of disturbing. It’s like she doesn’t really view him as an equal, instead she thinks he’s just a object of her affection

love how he slowly gets uncomfortable, and yet the hearts still never went away. i know how classic the "its normal, oh no horror, yay its normal again" type of thing but this still makes a lot of sense when it comes to abusive relationships. its hard to tell whenever someone is struggling or not.
