Great intro on the kinds of ETFs out there to invest in!

I'm curious if you take into account on the tax considerations of investing in US-domiciled ETFs (SPY, Vanguard's VOO, etc.)? Fees like expense ratios are always a given but from what I understand, as non-US residents, it isn't viable to invest in US-listed ETFs for the long-term due to tax reasons (US Withholding tax and Estate tax) whereby you can get taxed 30% on dividends received because you're part of a country that does not have a tax treaty with the US (Malaysia). Wanted to get your input on what you think about these taxation policies and whether other options can be taken into account (for instance, Ireland-domiciled ETFs).

I'm new to ETF, during the transaction, must we pay the full amount for 1 unit, like USD473 for 1 SPY unit in the video? or we can buy in fractional as in RM500 per month into it consistantly?
