How can you identify the genre of a story?

Use the 624 analysis, which stands for 6 levels of analysis and 24 questions.

Part of the 624 analysis is the blue “beyond the surface” level that reveals the eternal patterns of a story, and the first tool that is part of this blue level is the Five Genre Leaves.

Part of the Five Genre Leaves is the time genre, the structure of the genre, and the content genre.

For example, your story’s time genre can be a short story, and the structure for the genre can be about the transformation of an individual, whereas the content genre can reveal that your narrative is a crime story.

Through the Five Genre Leaf analysis, you’re getting your ideas for your story organized to prepare for the next step, which is the creation of the problem space, and it’s called the “pop”, the proposition of possibility.
