Don't know if I'm just buying into the marketing hype, but I'm really GASing over one of these...

I've had one of these guitars for 30 years. It's by far, the best guitar I've ever played.

i have a USA Jackson Custom shop 1991, has a monkey grip on it and a custom case with an amp built inside... pretty sweet... love the old school bridges they used to use of those

I think Jackson kills it on the low budget front with their JS series, idk anything about anything higher than that on a personal level

I think the difference between this and the USA we’ve been seeing for years is the other Made in USA were “USA Select”, which yes could be seen as normal USA production. To my understanding, they pass through the same hands as the custom shop orders, hence the long lead time (recently I think it’s been like 2 years for one if it wasn’t already in stock). The American Series being a “proper production” line (like X or Pro for example) makes it more easily accessible with less wait, but the “expected USA” quality with some features that are premium. I know people are gonna complain about the 1500 vs OFR not being premium but that’s an easy enough after market upgrade you can make if you want it. But the MOP for example is something that’s not available on anything except for USA - and even then some signature models don’t have that, probably to save in cost.

I have seen and held a couple of these at Guitar Center. The quality is excellent. Just wish it had two humbuckers.

I love the soloist in general but my issue is the price for what your getting. At that price point, there should be higher end frets like jescar frets, a higher end bridge, and it should have a better case. Ibanez certainly understands that and delivers that on their prestige series guitars. Why cant fender/jackson do that?? Thats why I buy ibanez and esp.

Saint Randy Rhoads is behind the Jackson Guitars Brand

Looks pretty sweet but pricing has gone stupid in the past 5 years. No way I would pay $2600 for one of these.

The neck is the best thing on this guitar. The pickups are great honestly my only complaint is no stainless steel frets i wish they made one with a fixed bridge cause i prefer the easy setup of fixed bridge. But the tone is awesome and very aggressive. This guitar would be worth the value if had ss frets and original floyd. But for the tone and playability this guitar is so worth it if your a shredder. The neck seriously hits the sweet spot and is the main reason i was sold on this next to the pickups. This guitar should go for 1500$ no more than 2000$ i got it for 2480$ after tax since my dad got a 10% military discount at guitar center but im definitly happen with it and might get it refreted with stainless steel frets down the road

It's cool, glad it's got some fun colors. Probably is an amazing player, let's not kid ourselves. But I'm guessing it's made right alongside the other American Fenders, I'd think such a large company would have the $$ and see the value in tooling up for SS frets on their primo guitars while being able to contain costs on doing it. I'm not stuck on a case and the 1500 is a great trem.

Just saying as your company grows and management execs expect their big pay and bonuses while straying further and further from the production line it sows the seeds of future misfortune.

So I had to see what all the confusion was about and just bought one . The frets feel great. The craftsmanship on theis guitar is amazing not one flaw the reverse inlays are different I like it. I can justify this guitar and price point considering how messed up everything is its better than the pro series I can't afford a custom shop.... you might find a better build for 2500 true but it won't say Jackson

Where’d you get that allen key holder on the headstock?

There is no mass produced guitar manufacturer that makes any guitars that’s 100% US made. A 100% US-made Guitar means the wood came from here, the frets were made here including the metal poured from here in a US foundry, all the wiring was produced here with all the hardware and electronics and it was built in assembled here. I think “US made” custom shop Fenders are still only 30% actual US produced guitars and they are the highest percentage if I’m not mistaken.
