I wanted to go to Georgetown to be coached by Coach Thompson! He had a supreme impact on me from the 📺. A legend in our community in more ways than one! Understanding death and seeing it so much in my military career, I’m of the thought that when great individuals leave the flesh, God needs them more in the spiritual realm than our earthly realm. Understand me or not, it’s my truth! God bless all of the families that have been dealing with deaths this year! Have a great day today good people and continue to strive for greatness!

John Thompson’s legacy was felt throughout the entire East Coast. Coached at Georgetown in DC, Coached Iverson who’s a legend in Philly with the Sixers, Coached Ewing who’s a legend in NY with the Knicks, and he played and won 2 titles with the Celtics in Boston. Legend

Another reminder to give folks their flowers when they’re still here. Lost too many good people in 2020. Appreciate Coach Thompson, my wellwishes to Coach Thompson III and all in mourning.

This man coached 4 hall of famers at Georgetown. I can’t even name the last player from Georgetown to make the league. Unless someone is slipping my mind it’s Otto Porter and that was 7 years ago

John pulled together teams of DC Metro "lunchpail" guys who no one else would sign who played for HIM and played the ultimate in team ball. Remember George Spriggs "The Mail Man?" Just one of many names that only a true Hoya fan will remember beside the NBA stars who came out of GT.
