Thank you for mentioning that not all agents are trained or informed in the same way. We spoke to one Celebrity agent who basically told us that we were out of luck for a refund. We were pretty upset. The very next day we called again and spoke with a different agent who found us a “Same Time Next Year” or “Lift and Shift” program and we will be sailing a year from August. Same perks, and our deposit carries over. Thanks, guys for putting this all together for us. ❤️

MSC South Africa has refunded drinks package only for April cruise. Their communication has indicated that no refund for cruise itself will happen...

Hi Ben & David, Our July 26th Celebrity Summit cruise to Bermuda was cancelled Wednesday May 20th. I contacted my Travel Agent and a request for a full refund was submitted to Celebrity on Friday May 23rd. Last Friday, June 5th, the entire deposit plus balance payment was posted back on to my credit cards. 14 days !!! Our refund only took 14 days. Way to go Celebrity. You are on top of your game. We're already booked for May 2021 with Celebrity to Bermuda and February 2022 to Eastern Caribbean. Celebrity has their act together. Bob & Jill in Connecticut

Got my FCC from RC w/in 45 days from cancellation and already used it to re-book my cancelled cruise for 2021.... People need to learn to be patient and that the world does NOT revolve just around them!!!

Hello Ben and David
My cruise provider has now told me how long they expect my request for a full refund to take.

Now that I’ve had a response I’m happy to wait.
The only reason I requested a full refund was because the cruise line is very small and I fear that they won’t survive the current downturn.

Now that Royal Caribbean has cut Pullmantur loose I can see a domino effect.
I wonder if Carnival will be cutting any of their lines loose.

I've been waiting over 90 days for a refund from MSC. Funny, when I booked it only took them seconds to take my money. I'll never book with MSC again! I don't enjoy the cold food in the MDR either!

My cruise was cancelled early March for a 4th April Ruby Princess cruise departing Sydney. On the 12th March we informed Princess the we wanted a refund and are still waiting, whilst I'm aware that others on the same cruise have been paid out, it does not make any sense on how some are paid before others, especially as the cruise companies have operatives taking future cruise deposits!

We got the refunds on 2 Princess cruises on June 12, that was 58 days from when we asked after they cancelled. We actually did not think they would come in this fast considering all the delays out there.

... especially now that the JobKeeper payments have ceased. The government needs to put a stop to this racket that cruise lines are engaging in.

Just want to thank you for your videos recently especially this one. I am currently a cruise expert for an independent travel company so I have been chasing refunds for customers for months and some customers aren’t grasping the length of time or that cruise lines are not keeping the passengers money so Thank you for this video.
I have been recommending your channel to guests to get up to date information.

Princess - cancelled on March 19 for a July 15 embarkation date.
85 days and counting.
Was told at the time could be up to 3 weeks.
NOTHING YET.

We had a cruise on Celebrity cancelled in May, and they were pretty quick getting us our refund. We were surprised that we got the refund back so quickly, considering how overwhelmed the cruise lines are right now. I hope others get their refunds soon.

Our cruise was cancelled by Carnival on May 4th. We received the refund to our credit card on June 6th and received the replacement gift cards (we used Carnival gift cards for our excursions) via FedEx yesterday (June 12th). I was actually pretty impressed as when we initially chose the full refund option we were told it would take 60-90 days for the refund. So no complaints on our end as it took less than 45 days to get everything back from Carnival.
