Every kpop fan, even if you're not a blink know about Teddy. Usually in kpop producers end up getting credit along with the singers, for example bighits inhouse producers Slow Rabbit Pdogg Supremeboi and aroura(she left bighit and debuted as a soloist) are famous amongst the fandoms they've worked with and outside of them aswell.
Some of the credit has to got to the awards for producers in big award shows, but another aspect is idols mentioning them often and obviously their own merit.

I'll be honest, I'm not gonna deny that he's a producing legend. He's made lots of songs that went famous. I respect that.

Still, as a musician, I think that the songs he wrote are among the most basic among kpop. Never anything extraordinary. Simply a loud dance beat with (I'm sorry) shallow, repetitive lyircs, and a dance break sequence that's easy to move to. The chord progressions are simple and there's no surprise factor And the songs only got famous because its 2NE1 and Blackpink who perform them. Because they're under YG label.

I think that plenty of songwriters like EDEN, Olleander, Soyeon, and Mamamoo write more impressive songs, lyric and music-wise. They Write songs that have the uniqueness and depth that Teddy Park songs lack.

This is just an opinion. And I mean no disrespect.

You are correct there are many famous songs which other music producer and songwriter make and kpop idols don't have any involvement in producing, thats why I personally like kpop groups who self produce songs but then again I love songs that goes hit.
