Uh...neither of those pronunciations are correct. Its not some word that Gust just made up, even if they are not pronouncing it correctly either lol. Its french and it means a studio or workshop. Its pronounced "At-till- Ee-Ay"

so you said that this game is a good starting point for newcomers to the series... so is this game's story separate from the others in the series? like new characters, new setting, etc? ive never played an atelier game but i would like to try this one if the story doesnt require previous knowledge

Which would you recommend for a new player Atelier Escha and Logy Plus or Sophie? I liked the 2 progtanist styles of Atelier Escha and Logy. I also would like one with a better a story? Im not that bothered about time since in your last review you said Escha and Logy had a very lenient time method. Cause you played both which would u suggest overall?

According to the Cambridge Dictionary Online, it's pronounced (spelling it phonetically): uh-tell-yay. And that's the pronunciation I'll be using. CURSE YOU game! Can't wait to get it, but so many games coming out requiring so much money... my wallet has been bled dry.

This was the first and only Atelier game I played, which I got free on PSN plus a while back. Just got the platinum trophy yesterday. I quite enjoyed it, but I don't think Atelier games are my kind of thing I was wasn't a fan of the alchemy, I found it too complicated. At least the time restraints weren't there as I hate time limits

This game can best be described as Sophie flirts with all the girls.

I think that the previous pronunciation of Atelier and the new one are both incorrect. So that means the next one that's localized (Firis?) will have a different pronunciation maybe? Haha.

To be fair, the voice actors pronounce the ‘r’ in atelier, using an Americanized pronunciation. But at one point he mispronounces ‘pronunciation’. That I can’t forgive.

@the beginning of the video, if you're having trouble with pronouncing Japanese games titles or characters or whatever else, just look at the spelling in Japanese. アトリエ is how it's spelled, which is atorie pronounced uh toh lee eh
