P.S. love that paperback edition. Awesome cover. I really miss the glory days of the mass market paperback in the 80s when I was a kid. It’s the perfect form to read. Pocket-Sized and sweet lord the smell of the pages are delectable!

This looks like it could be interesting. I love the cover too. Very pulp-y. Thanks for posting dude.

Asimov loved mysteries and actually wrote quite a few. I think Caves of Steel and its sequel The Naked Sun hold up extremely well for books written in the 1950s. While they were completely independent from the rest of his novels originally, he would later tie all the robot stories together and also tie them to the Foundation series - he was a master of plot building.

Love the robot series. Just re read Caves of Steel a month ago and still love it. Love how simple Daneel still is at this point in both series...great video

The Play is called R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots, ) by Karel Capek. The "robots, " which look like humans, are what we would call androids.

I've read a lot of Asimov, but this one always stood out for having such a great story and a great "what if" premise. Loved it. I was really happy when it was incorporated into the I, Robot movie.

S. Andrew Swann's Apotheosis series is pretty fun. I actually like the 2nd book Prophets the most. They're not too long. Someday I'll read Forests of the Night, just for the tiger holding a gun on the cover.

Wow, only 272 pages. You probably read that while going to the bathroom.

What are you on about Brian? 2+2 does NOT equal 4! 😂 Top vid as always. I may have to check this one out.

Love Asimov. In particular his Robot novels. The Robots of Dawn is my favorite. Close to perfection.

The Naked Sun is even better. Highly recommended

Also, it would be good if you could read Asimov's Currents of Space and try to connect its influences on Dune :)

P.P.S. Thanks for introducing me to the phrase “ass over teapot.” We don’t have that on the east coast.

Asimov has something to offer everyone. I’ll have to check this out. I love his I, Robot series. I first discovered it in reprints of the old E.C. Comics adaptations in issues of Weird Science.
