The kangal has a stronger bite (750psi) then a lion (650psi) That’s not something to brush away. That’s insane power compared to a pit bull 235 psi. Yes the pit is more agile and 1 of the best fighting dogs, but the kangal is no joke. Has insane endurance, strength and the strongest bite to back it up

Any dog person know Kangal WILL win the fight between these two dogs and that's coming from a person that owns 2 pitbulls. The only way pitbull would win is when the Kangal quit cause of its stamina not being able to keep up. The more fair comparison would be Kangal and Tabitan Mastiff in my humble opinion. My family from Sivas, my grandmother told me a story few times of a Kangal dog they own when she we re young. In a cold winter night wolves couldnt found any pray get starved and desperate, attacked their sheeps warren(they dont ever go near villages they have to be so hungry). Villagers tried to cast them of, while the Kangal dog fought them too. Aftermath he get seriously injured and died, my grandmother always said 'if he had his brother at his side they could protect each other, but we gave it away to another village' and cried. Sad story they re really loyal to death.

Under normal circumstances, no dog's bite force can be 743 psi. Even the bite force of most wild predators (900 psi except Tiger) cannot exceed 743 psi. That's why Kangal is not a dog. It is a domesticated wolf whose appearance has been mutated.

Both are legendary breeds of dogs. Both very dangerous and very precious. But imo the kangal will take this. But the mighty pit wont go down without a fight

I’m going to be honest here, the Kangal does win around 80 percent of the time and that 20 goes to the rate occurrences that the dog has health or training issues. Kangals are essentially what you get when you want to upgrade your game bred pitbull, they’re larger, heavier, stronger and have more psi in their bite than a African lion. Stamina means nothing when you’re opponent can hit you once whilst the thick fur and elastic skin on the neck of a kangal protects it from being fatally wounded. I see a lot of arguments about Americans picking the pitbull for fighting and that’s a reason why they think they’re the ultimate canine, but in reality countries outside of America…Russia, turkey, Israel and India all use kangals due to them being large but also very athletic and more powerful than pitbulls. Sorry pitbull nutters your dog never was the fighting champion.

Thank you for the information, I’m not looking to fight a dog . I have a 9 year old daughter and I look at getting a farm . Was more or less looking for a best friend and great protector

Let me give you an analogy:
The pitty is like an MMA fighter weighing a solid 85kgs.
The kangal is like a boxer weighing 200kgs.
Sure, the MMA fighter will hurt the boxer, but that boxer's first real hit will kill the MMA fighter.

My PitBull was the kindest, sweetest dog. He was attacked by a Rottweiler at a dog park as he played with 2 golden retrievers.

The side of him that came out as he demolished that Rotty was unbelievable. It was double his size and it was over in about 10 seconds.

Game-bred pits are gonna fight to the end, but I think most forget Kangals are one of the few breeds that have the spirit to fight to the death as well, on top of their size. They constantly deal with life and death situations dealing with wolves that want nothing more than to eat you

I have a one and a half year old male Kangal. Last month I took him to a dog park, one we go to from time to time. There was a woman who had a pitbull/Rottweiler male. Everything was fine, my dog did his rounds marking his territory. Right before the lady left her boyfriend threw a ball he found towards my dog. He went to grab it then her pitbull suddenly rushed him and bit the side of his face.
My dog exploded with rage and began to fight him. I went to grab his legs to break it up but the lady did nothing so I let him go to defend himself. The pitbull could not handle his power so he tried to raise up on his hind legs to attack higher. My dog body slammed him to the ground and on to its back. Because I was behind them, all I could see was what looked like my dog attacking it like a werewolf eatging a victim (best way I could decribe it).
I pulled him off because he was beginning to go for the throut and he clearly won the battle.
My dog looked back at me with a huge smile. The woman put her dog on a leash and was going to leave the dog park but my dog blockes them at the gate and did not let them go. He stared at the dog while scratching at the ground like a boss then moved to my side and left them leave.

I’ve literally witnessed what happens when a “game bred” Pitbull attacks a working Kurdish Kangal.

It gets mauled. To death.
