While going through Saba Dewan's book called Tawaifnama, such beautiful tradition of Sangeet which took its own color from Banaras and Western Bihar. Called Purab Ang, Thumri and dadra and Kjari and hori, many people undermine it saying its semi classical. In one such intro of Thumri, interviewer asks Ustad Vilayat khan saab : kuch Khayaliye (khayal gane wale) kehte hai Thumri badi light chiz hai. Khaan saab answered: iska matlab hai aapko gana nahi aataa, thumri sirf technique se nahi hota uske liye bhav ka hona jaruri hai.
