Were you aware that Tamworth was the seat for Sir Robert Peel, who was responsible for introducing what became the modern day police force - the reason they're called 'Bobbies'. He, and later his son (also Robert Peel) lived in Drayton Manor, a large Mansion near to Fazeley Mill Marina, which was demolished in 1929. The grounds are now the site of Drayton Manor Theme Park. Probably why Peel Wharf is so named.

Thank you for this little bit of loveliness. Showing us indeed Spring is here, its been so long appearing this year, Micheal has been shorn for in preparation for the long hot summer that lays ahead. We must strive to be positive. Silly George or curious George. Glad he was rescued safely, its like having a child with you by the sounds of it. :-)

Hello you 2. We just missed you at Fazeley junction. We passed through there on Easter Sunday on our way up the big climb into Birmingham. We had a interesting cruse this time out, very relaxing. We also bumped into Robbie Cummings cranking it at a lock just before Burton on Trent.

I had a dog that got trapped under a dock. It was so hard to get him out and I thought he was going to drown. I've never really gotten over and can't really watch dogs in the water now. It's scary when they panic.
