I have always thought the “threatening” stories about Sasquatch are them being grumpy about humans barging into their homes and putting up a tent or building, or even just hanging out in the middle of their living room! I’d be pretty testy too. (Boulder, Colorado here)

You are correct about it could've been much worse, but I also think the big male understood that you would come to terms with the experience. And Leslie, I believe your comment/ question about misunderstanding the Sasquatch intent during encounters may be exactly what happens, a misinterpretation.

This is a good example of a Sasquatch being able to make itself appear to be dangerous to protect its family, , , then a Sasquatch that understands the dog is a family pet and in distress so it went into the water and saved the pooch. Sasquatch have mannerisms just like humans do. There are friendly ones, not so friendly ones and others who are violent and will harm humans.
