Staff Sergeant Epley, I just want you to know that I have been trying to figure this kind of comping out since forever and you clearly explained everything about it and basically got me doing it and sounding right in just over two minutes. its funny. I've read other military type instructional stuff and I love it because its clear, its to the point and not gussied up, and its simple and easy to understand without a lot of big words. G-d bless you and anyone who ever wrote an Army instructional manual.

It´s always something to appreciate when a musician like you hands his knowledge and skills to the next generation.

Thank you so much! You did for me in 2:06 what most videos can’t do in twenty minutes! Awesome guitar playing!

I don't think I've ever seen a guitar player in military uniform before---but he's good.

What model Gibson guitar is that? Herb Ellis, ES125 cutaway. Is it thin body or thick?

very helpful, however, I think there is still some debate on whether you emphasize on 2 and 4.  My gtar instructor who used to play with the Jazz Commodores said that you do not have to do that, the emphasis is already coming from the bass and drummer, it is more important that you are right behind the beat.  I think part of the illusion is that if you listen to Freddie Greene, sometimes he grazes the strings on 1 and 3, sometimes he is right there but he can always be heard on 2 and 4 no matter what the volume is.
