The Descendants franchise has entered a new era with Descendants: The Rise of Red. It has been said the old Descendants cast members are never returning after Cameron Boyce death. The only old cast member on there is China Anne McClain and the rest are just new cast members we all going to see who we like.

The reasons of the caharcters make sence, but the thing is, the chances are that none of them will, because in order these characters to come back we need the actors and due to Camrons death, none of them (other then Umas actress) seem keen to come back...

I would love for the original cast for Descendants 5 I feel like it would be a really great movie but I doubt the original cast will come back because of Cameron being gone they've said many times that it wouldn't be right to get to the franchise without him but I also love the way they honored him in the story like I think that would make them want to come back because you're honoring Cameron but as we all know they will do what's best for them and I really hope they do come back because I would love to see my favorite characters back also to dizzy and the twins Ann Celia we never see them after the third movie

Actually mal/dove cameron confirmed she was not coming back anytime soon due to cameron boyce/carlos's death because she thought it would never be the same without cameron even though its what carlos would have wanted

NO! Mal was not the reason for the success of the Descendant's hell she was even the reason a lot of people even watched, as for Cameron Boyce in the first season and Uma played by China McClain was it for me in the second season and them two people are the only reason, Mal was boring and Ben was too. Uma for real was the reason for those ratings in the 2nd and third which is why they had to bring her back anything China McClain is in people are going to watch she was the reason a lot of people was into Black Lightening and so many others, She is always doing something
